Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) aims to reach over 25 million needy people, primarily in earthquake-stricken areas, in Türkiye and 49 countries during Eid Al Adha.
Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), organizing the Qurbani slaughter, on behalf, with the theme “Share Your Qurbani Get Closer to Your Brother,” will prioritize earthquake victims in the earthquake-stricken areas. They will distribute Qurbani aid packages in 81 provinces and 922 districts within the country and 49 countries abroad.
The General Director of TDV, İzani Turan, stated that since 1993, they have been performing Qurbani slaughter, on behalf, under religious principles, adhering to the principles of trust and reliability.
Turan, who reminds that the aid to the earthquake-stricken region continues, says, “Our nation has shown great interest in making Qurbani donations due to the disaster of the century we have experienced. I hope Inshallah that this year we will surpass last year and deliver Qurbani aid to more than 25 million of our needy brothers and sisters.”
Earthquake zone will be prioritized
Turan declared that within the scope of the Qurbani organization, on behalf, they will prioritize the earthquake-stricken region and the domestic areas, and add: “We will strive to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters who are affected in these areas and to increase their joy during Eid Al Adha.”
Turan stated that last year, in Türkiye and abroad, 525,550 shares of Qurbani were slaughtered in 375 regions across 82 countries, reaching 22 million people. He explained that TDV has delivered 3,916,723 shares of Qurbani to orphans, the destitute, and the needy in the remotest corners of the world in 29 years.
Qurbani donations are online and via the mobile app
Turan reminded that this year, the price of Qurbani on behalf was determined as 5 thousand 950 TL in Türkiye and 2 thousand 750 TL abroad. Expressing that they have extended Qurbani donation stands throughout Türkiye, Turan, continued as follows:
“Our benefactors can donate Qurbani from the online donation and mobile donation application form ‘tdv.org’ and ‘bagis.tdv.org’ addresses, as well as through provincial and district muftis, TDV branches, religious officials, all PTT branches, and banks. Our benefactors living abroad can entrust their Qurbani to our foundation through religious services consultancies, attachés, coordinators, mosque associations, and religious officials in these countries.” Turan added that citizens can also get information about the Qurbani from the call center at +90 312 416 90 00 between 08.00-23.00, 7 days a week.
