Türkiye Diyanet Foundation is set to distribute approximately 19,000 shares of Qurbani meat to needy families in Mauritania under its 2025 Qurbani on behalf of our donors Program.

The TDV delegation has completed all logistical and operational preparations in the West African country.

As part of the Eid al-Adha program, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) will carry out a Qurbani meat distribution program in the Brakna, Nouakchott, Hodh El Chargui, and Hodh El Gharbi regions with a team of 22 staff members and volunteers.

The teams, who gathered in the capital Nouakchott, have completed their preparations and have been dispatched to their designated regions.

Mustafa Karadavut, the TDV’s coordinator for the Qurbani operation in Mauritania, stated that they arrived in the country with a team of 22 volunteers and staff to carry out the Qurbani program.

He noted that they will deliver approximately 19,000 shares of Qurbani meat to the needy across 10 slaughtering points in four regions of Mauritania.

“During the preparation phase, we went through a challenging process. About 1–2 months ago, our advance teams arrived and conducted field research in the qurbani livestock markets,” he added.

“Our mission is to deliver aid to even in the farthest corners of Mauritania.”

Karadavut emphasized that the locations for the slaughtering of Qurbani animals were carefully selected, stating:

“Together with our local partners, we carefully identified the regions. After that, our teams moved quickly to the livestock markets to carry out the Qurbani process efficiently. For the first time, each animal was inspected by a veterinarian to ensure compliance with Islamic rulings. We are conducting Qurbani operations in 10 designated areas across 4 different regions of Mauritania. Our commitment is so strong that we even sent teams to areas 16 hours away from the capital.”

Karadavut emphasized their determination:

“We will reach the most forgotten corners of Mauritania. May our charitable donors be rewarded abundantly by Allah for their trust and support. We pray that these goodness grow and multiply.”
