Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has started to slaughter Qurbani on the needy’s behalf to be distributed to the needy in Mali.
Approximately 3,000 animals will be slaughtered in the 2022 Qurbani Organization organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DİB) and TDV with the theme of “Share your Qurbani, get closer to your brother”. In Mali, where Qurbani slaughter will be carried out in 8 regions, 435 cattle Qurbani will be slaughtered today and tomorrow in the Markala region of Segou city, for 3 thousand 45 shares. In addition, the Qurbani will be recorded with a camera and the images of the slaughter can be transmitted to donors who wish.
Markala Mayor Adama Siby also participated in the slaughtering process, which started after the Eid prayers. While 300 cattle were planned to be slaughtered for the whole day, 150 Qurbani have been slaughtered so far. Approximately 7,500 people in this region will benefit from the Qurbani meats that will be distributed to 200 villages in and around the Markala region.
