The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) distributed food packages to 1,000 families in need in Malawi during the month of Ramadan.,
TDV Malawi responsible Lütfullah Sarıgül said in a statement that water wells were drilled in 4 regions as part of the aid made in Malawi during Ramadan and that these wells were powered by solar energy.
“We distributed food packages to 1,000 families as part of Ramadan aid activities,” he said, adding that the needy families to whom the aid was delivered expressed their thanks to Turkiye and the charitable.
TDV officials Rahmetullah Ahmet Akay and Remzi Zorpuzan participated in the distribution of Ramadan aid.
Authorities, meanwhile, interviewed Malavili students who wanted to study theology faculties and Imam Hatip high schools in Turkiye.
