Clothing aid was provided by Mardin provincial mufti and Turkiye Diyanet Foundation Branch to 457 students in 5 rural neighborhoods. Clothing aid sent by benefactors was prepared by volunteers of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation based on the list of needs from the rural schools. The students received bags containing coats, boots, scarves, hats, and gloves according to their bodies, with the participation of the Provincial Mufti and the head of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation branch Ali Hayri Celik and the TDV Mardin Representative Muhammed Koldemir and volunteers at the schools in Yaylacık, Cevizlik, Baglıca, Elmabahce, and Sultankoy in the Artuklu district.
Ali Hayri Celik stated that they organized such an event to keep the children from getting cold on cold days, and said “We shared joyful moments during this cold day when snow fell. Conducive to goodness, doing goodness gives people more happiness than money, stamps, wealth, and goods. To be able to give the clothes and dress that people need is one of the greatest values and greatest happiness that one can have in this life.”
