An iftar program was held at TDV Baku Turkish High School in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, with the support of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV).
The event, hosted by TDV Baku Turkish High School, was attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Baku Birol Akgün, Baku Religious Services Counselor İhsan Açık, TDV Deputy General Manager Recep Şükrü Balkan, representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations, as well as teachers serving at the school.
In his speech, Ambassador Akgün highlighted that TDV Baku Turkish High School is among the most successful educational institutions in Azerbaijan, expressing great pride in its achievements. He emphasized that the relationship between Türkiye and Azerbaijan extends beyond military, economic, and political ties, rooted in a strong bond of shared history, culture, and faith.
Ambassador Akgün also noted that Ramadan represents one of the common spiritual values uniting the two countries and that gatherings like this further strengthen the ties of brotherhood between them.
