The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) will deliver humanitarian aid to needy people in Türkiye and 86 countries during the holy Ramadan, according to TDV General Manager İzani Turan.

Turan said the foundation currently provides services in 149 countries worldwide.

Noting that the organization carries out Ramadan and Qurbani aid campaigns each year, Turan said the donations of the Turkish people will once again be delivered to the needy across different regions during the holy month.

“With Türkiye as our primary focus, we will operate in 86 countries. With our 1,003 branches, and with the support of our imams, preachers, muezzins, and all staff of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, we will carry out a strong mobilization of goodness,” he said.

Turan added that aid cards for clothing, stationery, and food will be distributed in different regions and that 18 water wells will be opened during Ramadan.

We will serve iftar to 20,000 people daily in Gaza

Turan highlighted that aid for Gaza has been ongoing since October 2023:

“In times when hunger tests people, we cannot remain passive. Our nation contributes generously, and TDV ensures that every penny reaches the needy. During the holy Ramadan, we will provide iftar to 20,000 Gazans daily. Ten thousand meals will be covered by the Headquarters of Foundations, and ten thousand by TDV. All operations are conducted by TDV. Beyond meals, thousands of aid cards, iftar boxes, and clothing donations will reach vulnerable families.”

He added that three temporary mosques have been established to help Gazans pray more comfortably, noting that the initiative drew attention in Israeli media. Turan reaffirmed TDV’s commitment to uninterrupted support, emphasizing the ongoing needs of the Muslim world and the vital role of donors. He concluded by wishing blessings for the forthcoming Ramadan.
