
The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) delivered Ramadan food aid to needy families in Ghana.
The aid program, coordinated by the Religious Services Counselor’s Office at the Turkish Embassy in Accra, reached residents of the Wa Region.
A total of 300 food packages were distributed during the event, which was attended by Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Ghana’s Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment Relations.
Acting Religious Services Counselor Hüseyin Ankaralı said they were pleased to share the blessings of Ramadan with the needy and thanked both the minister and donors in Türkiye for their donors.
TDV plans to host iftar meals for 7,500 people and deliver food aid to 2,500 families across Ghana during the holy month.
