The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) will host the “International Gaza Humanitarian Aid Summit” in Istanbul on November 11-12, under the theme “The Future of Gaza,” to highlight the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and promote global solidarity.
The summit, organized by TDV, will bring together Prof. Dr. Safi Arpaguş, President of Religious Affairs and Chairman of TDV’s Board of Trustees, along with numerous national and international officials, civil society representatives, human rights defenders, academics, media personnel, and other distinguished guests.
Focusing on finding long-term and effective solutions to the ongoing humanitarian crisis, the summit will examine the needs of millions of civilians impacted by destruction in key sectors—including infrastructure, health, education, and housing—and discuss collaborative and sustainable aid mechanisms in Gaza following the ceasefire.
A blueprint will be prepared
Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) General Manager İzani Turan explained that the international summit aims to support Gaza’s vulnerable population and contribute to rebuilding the region. The summit will unite humanitarian voices and facilitate practical, sustainable initiatives.
Turan stated that the summit will create a comprehensive development and recovery roadmap based on local priorities, establish a global platform for coordination among humanitarian organizations, media, and financial institutions, and ensure sustainable resources and effective interventions to maximize humanitarian impact.
A human and ethical duty
According to Turan, TDV aims to use this summit to strengthen Gaza’s resilience and make humanitarian aid sustainable, achieving these objectives through strategic projects and cooperation. He stressed that the two-day summit is a reflection of Türkiye’s moral and humanitarian responsibility toward the Palestinian people and demonstrates TDV’s commitment to promoting justice, compassion, and global solidarity.
