The Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) continued their food aid activities for needy people in Kyrgyzstan during the holy month of Ramadan.

Within the scope of the aid efforts coordinated by the Religious Services Counselor’s Office at the Embassy of Türkiye in Bishkek, TDV representatives reached dozens of families in the capital and surrounding areas.

As part of the humanitarian activities, the teams visited the National Oncology Hospital in the capital and delivered Ramadan aid packages to patients receiving treatment and their relatives.

TDV teams also visited visually and hearing-impaired people living in Sokuluk District and the city of Tokmok in the Chüy Region.

Food packages prepared for needy families were personally delivered by the aid teams.

Visits to Ahiska Turks and suburban communities

Within the framework of the aid campaign, distributions were also carried out in villages where Ahiska Turks live in the region.

In addition, house visits were conducted in suburban neighborhoods of the Chüy Region where many low-income families reside, and Ramadan food packages were delivered to households.

Earlier during Ramadan, TDV also organized a food aid event on March 2 and a community iftar program on March 3 at the Imam Serahsi Central Mosque in Bishkek.
