The Turkiye Diiyanet Foundation (TDV) distributed 1,645 aid packages in 9 different cities in Cameroon. Yasin Yavuz, Religious Services Coordinator at the Turkish Embassy in Yaounde, said in a statement that TDV provided aid for Ramadan in 9 different cities of Cameroon and at 15 different points.
Yavuz, under the coordination of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, within the scope of the campaign launched with the theme “May Our Brotherhood Be Blessed With Zakat, Hoped For One Is You”, 1645 food aid packages and 1500 Holy Qurans were delivered to needy families in the cities of Yaounde, Douala, Foumban, Bafoussam, Foumbot, Bertoua, Maroua, Garoua, Ngaoundere.
Yavuz explained that TDV has been carrying out relief activities in Turkiye and abroad for nearly half a century, adding that Cameroonian Muslims, whom aid has reached, thank and pray to TDV donors.
