
Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) will deliver 2,500 packages containing food supplies to the needy in different parts of Sudan during Ramadan.
Volunteers from TDV and the Turkish Islamic Union of Religious Affairs (DITIB), distributed packages containing food supplies to the families of 200 orphans in the capital Khartoum during the program, and attended by Irfan Neziroğlu, Turkiye’s ambassador to Khartoum.
In his speech at the program, Ambassador Neziroğlu mentioned the importance of vocational training and stated that they carry out many studies in this field in Turkiye and that their doors are always open to requests for support in this regard.
Abdullah Şen, Religious Services Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Khartoum, said in a statement, “We aim to deliver food packages to 2,500 families in Sudan together with our brothers and sisters within the Organization of the Religious Turkish Islamic Union (DITIB), which is composed of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, its TDV and our expatriate Turkish brothers from Germany. A total of around 6,000 food packages will be distributed through our Turkish NGOs in Sudan.”
“Distributions will be carried out in the capital Khartum as well as in the South Kurdufan, Darfur, Kesele, Port Sudan, and the north. We thank our benefactors on behalf of the needy families here. If they see the reward for their support, they will aid more, we are all witnesses to this,” he said.
Mehmet Fatih Demir, a TDV volunteer from Turkiye, said, “We are here as TDV to deliver the aid of our brothers and sisters in need in Sudan within the scope of food distribution in Ramadan 2022. Our only goal is to ensure that our Sudanese brothers enjoy a comfortable and peaceful Ramadan. I hope that they will be sure that their aid is delivered to the needy through the right hands of the TDV.” he said.
